President, Board Member & Co-Founder

Teresa La Fleur is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, nonprofit leader, educator, and community advocate whose career has spanned technology, philanthropy, organizational development, and mental health. Teresa began her career in high-growth technology startups, gaining experience in innovation, collaboration, and building organizations from the ground up. She later joined the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation in U.S. Programs, where she developed a deeper appreciation for strategic philanthropy, community investment, and the power of partnerships to create meaningful change.

Those experiences ultimately led Teresa to pursue clinical mental health counseling, where she could combine her experience in leadership, collaboration, and program development with her passion for helping individuals and families thrive. She founded La Fleur Counseling and later served as Co-Owner and Executive Director of DBT Eastside, helping build and lead a specialized Dialectical Behavior Therapy practice.

Today, Teresa serves as President and Co-Founder of La Path Foundation, guiding its mission to strengthen individuals, families, and communities through growth, connection, healing, resiliency, and support. The Foundation’s first initiative, Parenting Pathways, reflects her belief that strengthening parents and families can create positive change that extends into schools and communities. Throughout her career, Teresa has focused on building programs, developing partnerships, and bringing people together around a shared purpose—experience she now brings to La Path Foundation and its growing community impact.

Secretary, Board Member & Co-Founder

Mark Siegel is an entrepreneur, business leader, and community advocate with more than 45 years of experience building organizations, developing partnerships, and creating innovative solutions in television, broadcast, and streaming media. A graduate of the USC School of Cinema, Mark founded Advanced Broadcast Solutions (ABS), building and leading the company as President until its acquisition by Key Code Media. Following the acquisition, he continued with Key Code Media as Vice President of Business Development until his recent retirement. Earlier in his career, Mark served as Senior Partner and Vice President of Business Development at Digital Systems Technology (DST).

Mark also brings extensive board and organizational leadership experience. He served for 10 years in leadership with the Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers (SMPTE), including as Pacific Northwest Section Chair, and for nine years as Board Chair of KBTC Public Television. These roles provided significant experience in nonprofit governance, strategic planning, organizational leadership, and building partnerships around a shared mission.

Mark’s entrepreneurial spirit began early. While attending the Robert Louis Stevenson School in Pebble Beach, California, he became involved in technical theatre and helped build KSPB, one of the country’s early licensed FM high school radio stations. Following his retirement from the broadcast industry, Mark has turned his focus toward community advocacy, nonprofit service, and his role as Co-Owner of Hidden Treasures on the Brick Road in Historic West Stanwood. As Co-Founder, Secretary, and Board Member of La Path Foundation, he brings decades of entrepreneurial, business, governance, and community leadership experience to helping build strong partnerships, sustainable programs, and lasting community impact.

Treasurer, Board Member, & Co-Founder

Michaella Dempsey brings a multidisciplinary background in operations, recruiting, technology, communications, research, and small-business management to La Path Foundation. Throughout her career, she has focused on building effective systems, solving operational challenges, connecting people with opportunities, and adapting quickly to new disciplines.

Michaella spent much of her professional career in recruiting and talent strategy, working with technology companies and hiring leaders to identify talent, improve recruiting processes, evaluate sourcing strategies, and implement new technologies. Today, Michaella serves as Antique Appraisal, Restoration and Inventory Manager for Hidden Treasures on the Brick Road in Stanwood. Her work includes inventory research and acquisition, valuation, restoration, inventory management, product development, and supporting the day-to-day operations of the business.

Michaella earned a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University of Washington and has pursued additional education in programming, and technology. As Treasurer, Board Member, and Co-Founder of La Path Foundation, she brings an analytical, systems-oriented, and adaptable approach to helping build the financial and operational foundation necessary for sustainable programs and long-term community impact.
